Vildostegui received his B.A. in philosophy, summa cum laude, from Yale
College and his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was editor-in-chief of the
Yale Law Journal. After law school, he lived in Tokyo and worked
with several Japanese human rights organizations, under a fellowship from the
Henry Luce Foundation. Professor Vildostegui is currently a Ph.D.
candidate in philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley.
