Assistant Professor of Law and Political Science.Dr. McLeod earned a B.A. (magna cum laude) at Amherst College and his
J.D. and a Ph.D. in political science at the University of Michigan. He served a visiting instructor at the Higher
School for Economics and Humanities in Bielsko-Biala, Poland, and as a visiting
assistant professor of political science at the University of Michigan, before
coming to Rutgers-Camden in 2005. Dr.
McLeod studies judicial behavior and judicial selection systems, and he has
written articles and book chapters focused on those topics as well as on voting rights, which have appeared in publications like the Detroit Mercy Law Review, Fordham Urban Law Journal, Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the
Law, and West Virginia Law Review. He has also served as a consultant to several
state governments regarding efforts to reform their judicial systems. Dr. McLeod teaches courses on judicial
behavior, judicial selection, international law, and family law.
