The molecular biology and biochemistry (MBB) major is open to students beyond their first year who have a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average and have received grades of C or better in courses taken toward the major, except by special permission of the department undergraduate chair. The MBB major is also open to first year students with AP credits. In all cases, students interested in the MBB major should contact the Undergraduate Director, Sam Gunderson. A grade of C or better in all courses credited toward the major is required for graduation and each course may be repeated only once to replace D/F grades.
Departmental approval is required to declare the major in molecular biology and biochemistry. Students who want to register for the MBB major must first meet with the Undergraduate Chair Sam Gunderson, Nelson lab, Room A322/A320 (848-445-1016 gunderson@dls.rutgers.edu) to discuss details about the major.
