Architectural Studies Minor and Certificate 076
The minor (for students not majoring in art history) and the certificate (for art history majors) serve as an interdisciplinary introduction to the historical, social, and artistic study of architecture. The minor and certificate in architectural studies combine required coursework in art history and landscape architecture, allowing students to better understand the form and meaning of the built environment. The curriculum (18 credits for the minor and 15 credits for the certificate) begins with three foundational courses in architectural design, contemporary architecture, and the history of western architecture.
Electives may be selected from a wide variety of disciplines.
