Learning Objectives
The objective of the Persian minor is to develop listening, speaking, writing, and reading skills in Persian language to the intermediate mid level, as based on the guidelines of the American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).
Requirements
The minor in Persian consists of 20-22 credits hours, which must be completed with a minimum grade of C.
Minors must take four Persian language courses (14-16 credits). They must also take EITHER:
- Two 300-level Persian language courses (6 credits), OR
- 01:013:201: Crossroads: Classical Literatures of Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia (3), and either 01:013:203 Language and Society (3), or 01:013:221 Introduction to the Literatures of the Middle East (3)
