Wei Fang is the assistant dean for information technology and head of digital services in Newark. He also served as the chair of
MAV-SIS and AALLc of AALL, and the executive board of NJLLA.
Dean Fang received his master's degree in computer science from
Fairleigh Dickinson University and another master's degree in library
and information science from Rutgers, where he specialized in digital
libraries. He also holds a bachelor's degree in computer science with
minor in mathematics from Kean University. He was one of the co-PIs of a
federal grant awarded by the National Historical Publications and
Records Commission to expand the law library's Housing Law and Policy
Digital Archive in 2011. In 2012, he was promoted to librarian II with
tenure. He has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and book
chapters on digital library and video repository.
