Traci Overton is the director of the Civil Practice Clinic (CPC), a general civil litigation
clinic at Rutgers Law School. In the CPC, third-year students
provide critical legal services to low-income residents of South Jersey
in a broad range of practice areas, including family law, housing law,
SSI/SSDI disability law, and consumer law.
Prior to joining the Rutgers faculty in 1999, Overton
practiced in the Family Law Unit of Greater Boston Legal Services,
providing legal assistance and representation to low-income victims of
domestic violence. In addition to direct client representation, she was the supervising attorney for the unit's Divorce Workgroup, an
externship placement site for law schools in the Greater Boston area.
