The minor requires 18

Requirement 1: General Core: A total of 6 credits (See

Track 1: International Politics, Economics, and Business. Will enable
students to address issues relating to the management of global political and economic
relationships and systems.
Track 2: Global
Cultures and Social Systems. Will enable students to better understand forms of
human difference and their relation to social justice in diverse cultural
settings.
Track 3: Environment
and Development. Will enable students to address pressing global issues of the
21st century, including environmental change, and human health and well-being.
Requirement 3a: Regional Specialization: A total of 6 credits (Students select one of the
six regions below; see detailed course list on Degree Navigator.)East

3b: Language Proficiency: Intermediate college-level proficiency in a language approved
for the selected region (Requirement 3a: see list of what languages are preapproved for each region on Degree Navigator.)
Requirement 4: Upper-level courses: A total
of 9 credits in the minor must be earned at the 300 level or above. This
requirement overlaps with requirements 1, 2, and 3a.
Students must receive a grade of C or better in each
course that counts toward the minor in international and global studies.
