Students who are in good academic standing are eligible to declare the human resource management (HRM) major through the School of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. The major consists of a total of 45-48 credits, 36 of which are to be taken from within the human resource management curriculum (seven HRM core courses [37:533] are required; eight for the HRM Honors Program) four HRM elective courses; and 9 credits from a list of related courses from other programs (the list of these courses is provided on the School of Management and Labor Relations [SMLR] website at http://smlr.rutgers.edu/content/bachelors-degree-human-resource-management.)
Introduction to Human Resource Management (37:533:301) is a prerequisite for the human resource management bachelor of arts degree program. Students must achieve a grade of C or better in this course before the major is declared.
Grades of C or better must be earned in all courses used to fulfill the requirements of the human resource management major.
