The minor consists of 6 courses.
Two required courses:
- 01:510:261 or 01:563:261 History of the Holocaust (3)
- 01:563:360 or 01:510:370:01 Remembering the Holocaust (3)
Four additional courses in at least two different departments (German, History, Jewish Studies) related to the Holocaust as listed on the
Electives Courses page. A relevant 3-credit independent study or internship (e.g., at the Museum of Jewish Heritage: A Living Memorial to the Holocaust in New York) can count as one of these four courses, with approval of the faculty adviser. A 6-credit honors thesis can count as two of these courses, with approval of the faculty adviser. An honors seminar on a relevant topic can count as one of these four courses, with approval of the faculty adviser. Only one transfer course may be counted toward the minor, pending approval of the faculty adviser.
