The privilege of registration and advance registration are barred to students who have outstanding obligations to the university. Obligations may take the form of unpaid monies, unreturned or damaged books and equipment, parking fines, other charges for which a student may become legally indebted to the university, and failure to comply with disciplinary sanctions or administrative actions.
 
University departments and offices may place "holds" on registration for any students with an outstanding obligation.
