Graduate Certificate Programs


The School of Management and Labor Relations offers individuals with bachelor's degrees or graduate students enrolled in other programs at the university the chance to obtain graduate certificates. These involve a series of regular graduate courses. Credits can later be transferred to one of the master's programs offered by the School of Management and Labor Relations. The graduate certificate programs enable students to both develop expertise in labor and employment relations and signal their qualifications to prospective employers.


A prospective labor or employment relations professional can earn a graduate certification by taking just four courses (graduates of the master in labor and employment relations program may count courses they have already taken toward this certificate, as long as they complete at least two additional courses).


The certificate in diversity and inclusion in the workplace, the certificate in labor and employment relations, and the certificate in leading organizational change can be earned entirely online, entirely in classroom courses, or through a combination of coursework. Our online classes are highly interactive, involve serious examination of important issues based on recent scholarship, and take place over the course of a semester. All classes include assignments designed to enhance skills and broaden perspectives. Students must earn a grade of B or better for a course to count toward the certificate.
