Associate Clinical Professor of Law, Environmental Law Clinic. Professor Borden earned a B.A. in English from Colgate University in 1984 and a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 1988. He has been practicing in the field of environmental law in New Jersey for more than 15 years, first with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, from 1988 to 1990, and then as a Deputy Attorney General from 1990 to 1995. In 1995, he began a solo law practice representing environmental groups and community groups in water quality, land use, species protection, and hazardous waste remediation matters. In his community service activities, he is the musical director for the a cappella group Jersey Transit and a board member for the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers.
