Students
registering for Fieldwork I or II must have the approval from the graduate practicum director and their faculty adviser.
Students are generally eligible to start the planning phase of fieldwork
(Fieldwork I) once they have received permission from their
faculty adviser and completed all core courses and the required courses of
their department(s) while maintaining a GPA of 3.0. Students are
encouraged to begin thinking about the focus area for their fieldwork
and begin discussing with their faculty adviser once they have completed
the aforementioned criteria. This will allow sufficient time to find a
suitable fieldwork placement, formalize the details of the fieldwork
project, and complete all the necessary
paperwork.
Each concentration has specific requirements that must be met in order to
ensure registration eligibility. These include, but are not
limited to, completion of specific coursework, faculty adviser approval,
and
completion of minimal number of credits within the department. Visit the Fieldwork webpage for more information.
