Urban Teacher Education Program (UTEP) Guidelines

Maintain a minimum
grade of B in all UTEP courses.
- Plan your course
of study early. Check out the program requirements and guidelines on UTEP's webpage.
- Be aware that courses
in UTEP require observation hours outside of the class.
- Attend ALL orientations.
- Pass the
Praxis II in your content area, prior to
enrolling in the Cluster IV: Clinical courses. Information about the Praxis II test is located
here: https://www.ets.org/praxis/nj/requirements.
- Enroll in a course that involves the study of a culture other than your own; many electives can satisfy this requirement, particularly literature and history courses.
- Complete all UTEP
courses before filing for graduation.
