The major requires 39 credits of history courses with a grade of C or higher. These courses may include offerings at Rutgers (510 and 512 prefixes) and NJIT (Hist prefix). Each program is subject to approval by an adviser or by the chairperson of the department. Specific requirements are as follows:
1. 6 credits in History of Western Civilization I and II (21&62:510:201,202). NJIT and transfer students may substitute two terms of introductory world civilization courses.
