Students assume leadership positions or become active members in a university organization and maintain a log of activities. Students write an 8- to 10-page essay analyzing and assessing their impact on the organization.

Simulation of organizations electronically, through interactive models. Analysis of group dynamics, anticipation of outcomes, and impact of personal behavior on organizational outcomes. Implementation of vision and engagement in problem-solving scenarios in an electronic environment. Focus on strategies for leading within organizations beyond the university setting.

Diversity in the Workplace (3)
This course is to further the understanding of multicultural issues by expanding the focus of study from the university to the wider world of work. Exposes students to theory, research, and practice in the ways that cultural diversity is managed in organizations and social institutions. Includes an overview of perspectives on diversity, organizations and diversity, various dimensions of diversity, specific diversity cases, as well as exercises on experiencing diversity.

Advanced Organizational Applications with Capstone Seminar (3)
Capstone experience integrates what students have learned through critical review of organizational leadership theory, and the analysis of leaders and leadership situations. Students are expected to use theoretical and practical knowledge base of leadership theory and group dynamics in analysis of readings, class projects, and other assignments.
