Rutgers conducts full-immersion study abroad programs around the globe for a full year, a single semester, or a summer for students of any major. In countries where the national language is not English, two semesters of the national literature are highly recommended. Students, however, need not be majoring in the language to participate. Interested students should write to the Study Abroad Director, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, 102 College Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901-8543, or visit the website at http://studyabroad.rutgers.edu.
Summer study abroad programs are offered in Bolivia, Cayman Islands, China, Costa Rica, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary and Romania, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Russia, and South Africa. For further information, consult the appropriate language department or the Study Abroad Office.
Students wishing to study abroad with programs other than those hosted by Rutgers may contact other American colleges or may seek admission directly from a foreign university. Students making these arrangements should speak with their academic dean about the acceptability of the program and the transfer of credit.
