Students must fulfill all degree requirements in their major
programs of study. Master of science and doctor of philosophy students in the
certificate program will take three courses in the participating science and
engineering graduate programs outside the graduate program of their degree,
including at least one course in geophysics. The courses are selected by the
student and his or her graduate adviser to broaden and strengthen the student's
background in his or her field of interest. The selection of courses will be
determined by each graduate program and tailored to the individual needs and
directions of the students.
