Major Requirements


The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences prepares students with the geosciences major for graduate studies or careers in environmental consulting, petroleum or mining industries, geology, oceanography, land-use planning, teaching, business, and law. Graduates are prepared to obtain Professional Geology Licensure.

The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences also offers graduate studies in several areas of the geosciences.
