Elementary Latin (3,3)
Fundamentals of Latin grammar and syntax, with a view to reading the writings of ancient authors at the intermediate to advanced levels. Students will also receive an introduction to Roman culture, as well as a knowledge of Latin that will improve knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary.
Both semesters must be taken to receive credit.

Selected readings in Latin prose and poetry from among the following authors: Virgil, Livy, Horace, Tacitus, and et al.
Prerequisites: 21:580:101-102 or permission of instructor. For those with some previous training in Latin.
