21&62:084:408Arts Fund-Raising (3) Provides students with an understanding of the ethics and practices of fund-raising for nonprofit arts agencies. Students gain an understanding of the role of the development office in a nonprofit arts agency, prepare for careers in arts management by increasing the skills necessary to function, and learn to plan a multipronged fund-raising campaign effectively. 21&62:084:409Arts Financial Planning and Administration (3) From building a budget to filing state and federal annual reports, this class will walk students through the process of nonprofit governance and fiscal management. Students will understand financial policy and controls and explore the career opportunities as general managers or chief financial officers of art-based nonprofit agencies. 21&62:084:410Arts Marketing and Public Relations (3) This course, intended specifically for arts or business majors interested in arts management, will give an overview of marketing and public relations that includes "spreading the word" to all segments of an arts agency`s sphere of influence including the board, funding sources, staff, volunteers, current and past audiences, and the decision makers that impact the agency.
