About this Catalog

The Newark Undergraduate Catalog provides information about all undergraduate education at Rutgers' campus at Newark. It describes the program and degree requirements, course offerings, and admission requirements for several faculties at each of four schools: Newark College of Arts and Sciences, University College-Newark, Rutgers Business School: Undergraduate-Newark, and College of Nursing. This catalog also provides information about undergraduate tuition, housing and dining services, registration and grading procedures, and other topics of general interest to students enrolled at any of the four schools.

College of Nursing

The College of Nursing provides professional education leading to the bachelor of science degree, with programs being offered in Newark, New Brunswick, and Freehold (at the Western Monmouth Higher Education Center).

The programs and courses of the school are offered by the Faculty of Nursing. The College of Nursing section of this catalog describes the specific goals, requirements, and course and program offerings of both the faculty and the school.

Newark College of Arts and Sciences

Newark College of Arts and Sciences is a four-year liberal arts school offering broad and rigorous exposure to the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. A number of degree programs are also available in applied and interdisciplinary fields of study. The school awards both bachelor of arts and bachelor of science degrees.

University College-Newark

University College-Newark is a liberal arts school for adult students who have work and family obligations during the day and who wish to attend classes in the evening or on Saturday. The school awards both bachelor of arts and bachelor of science degrees.

Rutgers Business School: Undergraduate-Newark

Rutgers Business School: Undergraduate-Newark is a professional, four year, undergraduate college offering extensive exposure to a variety of business- and management-related fields of study. The school jointly offers bachelor of science degrees with Newark College of Arts and Sciences and University College-Newark.
