In order to develop competence in science, technology, and society,
students must have an adequate background in quantitative reasoning,
social sciences, and the principles of science and technology.
1. 9 credits in calculus, computer science, statistics. (These
courses may be used to fulfill the general college requirement.)
2. 9 credits in economics, political science, sociology. (These
courses may be used to fulfill the general college requirement.)
3. 19 credits in science and technology. Courses selected should
either fulfill the requirements for a minor in one of the science or
technology disciplines, or be a coherent group of courses related to
the student`s area of interest, worked out with an adviser.
