Learning Objectives
The objective of the Hindi minor is to develop listening, speaking, writing, and reading skills in Hindi to the advanced level, as based on the guidelines of the American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). As the Hindi minor focuses on developing skills in Hindi, it is only available to students who have completed the entire track of courses in Hindi (that is, it is not available to those students who have demonstrated existing proficiency in Hindi and have placed out of the lower levels of the language upon entry to Rutgers).
Requirements
The minor program in Hindi consists of 22 credits, which must be completed with a grade of C or better in each course.
