Offered in cooperation with the Professional Science Master's program, this option allows specially selected students to earn both a bachelor's degree and a master of business and science (M.B.S.) degree in five years. The M.B.S. is a hybrid degree combining courses from a master of science (M.S.) and a master of business administration (M.B.A.). Students choose an applied science concentration that is paired with a business curriculum. Several undergraduate programs at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences have been paired in this way including biotechnology and genomics, food science, horticulture and turfgrass science, international agriculture, sustainability, and urban environmental analysis. Students apply to this program in their junior year, and if accepted, will complete their coursework in their fourth and fifth years of study. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.2 and must have completed 90 credits by the end of their sixth semester.
