The department offers three options (tracks). Students interested
in any of the departmental options will be required to take 01: 447:315
Introduction to Research in Genetics and Microbiology. The aim of the
course is to introduce students to both the theory and practice of
research, so that they may be prepared to conduct a research project in
molecular genetics, microbiology, or genomics. A minimum of 20 credits
of course work in the life sciences must be completed in residence.
