Adam J. Lekwa is an assistant research professor and director of the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) certification program. He is a nationally certified school psychologist
(NCSP) with experience in traditional and systems-level roles in Minnesota prior
to joining the faculty at Rutgers University in 2015 to support multiple
grant-funded projects in school settings. Dr. Lekwa's research is focused on
the integration of assessment of instructional environments to guide teacher
coaching or consultation, and to enhance the impact of instruction or academic
intervention. He leads the design and implementation of a training
sequence in MTSS. Dr. Lekwa's teaching within
the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, as well as his external service activities, are largely in MTSS and
applications of measurement and assessment, research design, and data analysis.
