Constanza Hoyos-Nervi

Connie Hoyos Nervi, Psy.D., is a graduate of the Institute of Graduate Clinical Psychology at Widener University (Clinical '98) and is an assistant teaching professor in the clinical Psy.D. program. She serves as the assistant director of clinical training, providing oversight for practica and other training opportunities. She advises graduate students on issues related to professional development, applications, and practica placement. Dr. Hoyos Nervi teaches CBT Supervision groups and the Learning Theory and Cognitive Behavioral Foundations and Training, Supervision, and Consultation courses.

Dr. Hoyos Nervi is chair of the Pennsylvania and Delaware Directors of Training Consortium (PENDELDOT). She has served as practicum coordinator in the MAP program and was an assistant professor of psychiatry at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where she supervised psychology students and psychiatry residents and taught medical students. Dr. Hoyos Nervi helped coordinate several National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded national conferences in Latino mental health and was an integral part of the research team for various NIH-funded grants. She has published peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters in the areas of somatization and Latino mental health. She has a volunteer faculty appointment at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in the Department of Psychiatry and maintains a private practice. Dr. Hoyos Nervi's clinical work has been primarily with individuals who suffer from mood and/or anxiety disorders and behavioral medicine with sensitivity to acculturation issues.
