Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor and Career Planning Specialist for the Office of Career Planning and Professional Development. Ms. Dougherty taught in the Child and Family Advocacy Clinic in the summer and fall of 2011 and Social Security Disability Practice in the summer of 2012. She also counsels law students and alumni on a wide range of career opportunities. Ms. Dougherty was a staff and senior staff attorney at the Support Center for Child Advocates (Child Advocates) in Philadelphia for 10 years, representing abused and neglected children in Philadelphia Dependency Court. In 2007, she was the recipient of a competitive fellowship, awarded by the Stoneleigh Foundation. The fellowship focused on improving the well-being of court-involved abused and neglected children and youth. Before joining Child Advocates, she was the coordinating attorney for a special initiative focusing on homeless children with the Homeless Advocacy Project. Ms. Dougherty is a 1996 graduate of Temple University School of Law and obtained her bachelor of arts degree from Saint Joseph's University in 1993.
