Assistant Dean for Student Affairs/Dean of Students. Dean
James earned her B.A. in 1988 at Rutgers College and her J.D. in 1991
at the University of Pennsylvania. She is admitted to practice in
Pennsylvania and also is a trained mediator. She served as law clerk to
U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Randolph Baxter in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior
to joining the law school, she was an assistant director of student
judicial affairs at the University of Pennsylvania. Dean James joined
the law school in January 1997 and is responsible for coordinating
orientation, graduation, and the academic support program. The
assistant dean counsels students, advises student organizations/groups,
and acts as a liaison for the student body with the faculty and the
administration. |
