The engineering track in the geoscience (geology) major is a program that prepares students to focus on the engineering and applied aspects of geological sciences. The goal of this program is to give students a well-rounded background in the factors and practices that promote remediate industrial environmental issues. The program prepares students to pursue careers in environmental remediation, energy exploration, engineering geology, engineering design, and planning. Graduates are prepared to obtain Professional Geology Licensure. With bridge courses at an ABET-accredited program, this can lead to Professional Engineering Licensure.
The environmental sustainability track in the environmental sciences major is exempt from the minor requirement. It requires 84 credits in the following courses:
