Dean
Walker earned her B.A. from Duke University
and her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was a Dean's
Scholar, Bates International Fellow, and note editor of the Michigan Journal of Race and Law. Before
joining Rutgers in 2006, she had been associate director
of the Public Interest Law Center at New York University School of Law. Prior
to that, she had been an assistant district attorney in Kings County (NY), attorney
with a solo practitioner in Brooklyn, and manager of a
program that sought to develop computer learning centers in more than 100
townships in South Africa.
