Geospatial information systems and technology is
offered as a concentration within the professional science master's program
described under
Business and Science 137. The objective of the master of business and science
degree with a concentration in geospatial information systems (GIS) and technology is
to provide students with advanced material on the theoretical basis of the
study of geospatial information, its diverse applications in science,
government and commerce, and the societal/environmental implications of GIS
technology. As part of the coursework, students will be provided the
opportunity to become technically proficient in a variety of geospatial
technologies through hands-on instruction.
All students in geospatial information systems and technology must take the following courses:
