Explores a wide range of issues pertaining to higher
education and college teaching, and helps to prepare students for their roles as
future faculty members. This intensive experience enhances employment
marketability, and strengthens pedagogical skills and overall knowledge of higher
education.
Enrollment is limited to doctoral students.

(F) College Teaching II (0)
This class provides
students with the opportunity to design a complete course they might someday
teach either at Rutgers or at other institutions. Students will develop all
aspects of their future class including a syllabus, assignments, and plans for teaching
methodologies. Specific class topics include establishing goals for a course,
content delivery (including lecturing, class discussions, and active learning),
assignment and assessment design, and setting course policies.
Prerequisite: Open to doctoral students who have at least two semesters of college teaching experience or who have taken 16:186:855.
