Elizabeth Moore is the director of communications for Rutgers Law
School's Newark location. She is responsible for news releases, linking
news media with scholarly experts, serving as spokesperson for the law
school, writing and posting web content, creating social media posts,
showcasing students and faculty, planning certain events, and is the
communications liaison with the Rutgers Law School communications team in
Camden.
Ms. Moore brings both news media and public relations experience
to the job of director of communications. A former media relations
expert for Drew University, she has also held communications director
positions with Clara Maass Medical Center and with Essex County. She
also hosted the television show Inside Essex County from 2008-2010.
Prior to working in public relations, she oversaw 12 news websites as a
regional editor for AOL and spent 15 years as a reporter and columnist
with the Star-Ledger of Newark. She also worked as a reporter for The
Oregonian in Portland, Oregon.
A native of Southern California, she is a
graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, where she was the editor of The Daily Californian. Ms. Moore also works as an adjunct professor,
teaching media writing, journalism, and public speaking at two
universities in northern New Jersey.
