Valarie McDuffie joined Rutgers Law School in 2016 as the senior associate dean for business services and chief financial officer. She
splits her time between the Newark and Camden locations.
Dean McDuffie has over 20 years of experience as an operations
executive, with an expertise in operations, finance, budgeting,
strategic planning, administration, and consulting for both profit and
not-for-profit areas.
Previously, she worked as the director of the Temple University
Performing Arts Center where she was responsible for the day-to-day
operations, oversight of administrative management staff, negotiating
proposals and contracts, managing event scheduling, implementing a
strategic plan, and managing the center's annual budget. In addition, Dean McDuffie has served as the director of operations and administration for the Temple University Performing Arts Center; the associate director of finance for the Office of the Senior Vice
President, CFO, and Treasurer for Temple University; and director of operations for Temple University's Office of Business Services.
Dean McDuffie has a master of business administration management degree from
Strayer University and a bachelor of science degree from St. Joseph's
University.
