Jay Austin became the senior enrollment dean for Rutgers Law School in 2019. Prior to coming to Rutgers, he was an assistant dean for admissions and student financial services at the University of California-Irvine School of Law. He earned his B.A. degree from Columbia University and has an M.Sc. in international management from the University of Liverpool. He has been a regular presenter at annual meetings and conferences of the Association of American Law Schools, Law School Admissions Council, National Association of Pre-Law Advisors, and the Association of Higher Education and Disability, as well as a presenter to the Azerbaijan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dean Austin's articles on minority admissions and diverse applicants have been published in various journals.
