The master of public policy (M.P.P.) and master of public health (M.P.H.) dual-degree may be completed in three years of full-time study. This is a savings of 24 credits (8 courses) compared to separately earning the 48-credit M.P.P. and the 45 credit M.P.H. degrees.
The M.P.P. program accepts two M.P.H. required courses (introduction to Biostatistics and Health Services Research Evaluation) in place of two M.P.P. required courses (Research Design and Basic Quantitative Methods). The M.P.P. program also accepts four M.P.H. electives in place of four M.P.P. electives and counts Fieldwork II hours toward the 300 hours of required internship experience for the Applied Field Experience course. The M.P.H. program accepts two M.P.P. electives in place of two M.P.H. electives.
