The master of public policy (M.P.P.) and master of business administration (M.B.A.) dual degree may be completed in three years of full-time study. This is a savings of 24 credits (8 courses) compared to separately earning the 48-credit M.P.P. and the 60 credit M.B.A. degrees.
The M.P.P. program accepts approved M.B.A. economics, budgeting and management courses in place of those M.P.P. requirements. Dual-degree students also may substitute the M.B.A. Marketing Research course for the M.P.P. Research Design requirement. The Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs-Newark and New Brunswick accepts 12 M.P.P. credits (4 courses toward the M.B.A. degree.)
