The primary objective of the master of public policy (M.P.P.) degree program is to prepare students for
careers in policy analysis, politics, and advocacy within public,
nonprofit, and for profit sectors. If pursued on a full-time basis, the M.P.P. typically takes two years to complete.
Students must complete 16 courses (48 credits), including ten courses of required coursework and six elective courses. Three of the six electives must comprise a concentration in a substantive policy area. There is no thesis requirement. To graduate, a student must maintain an overall grade-point average of 3.0, with no more than three grades (9 credits) of C+ or below.
