History and Overview

Rutgers is one of the nation's oldest, largest, and most distinguished institutions of higher learning in the nation. Founded in 1766, Rutgers is the eight-oldest university in America.

In 1950, the South Jersey Law School and the College of New Jersey became the Camden campus of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Located in the heart of the Camden Waterfront at the foot of the Ben Franklin Bridge, just across the Delaware River from Philadelphia, Rutgers University-Camden is an institution with an international reputation for research, teaching, and service.

In 1988, the growing demand for business offerings led to the founding of the School of Business-Camden, the first business school in southern New Jersey to earn prestigious accreditation from AACSB International. Today, the School of Business-Camden is a premier institution for undergraduate and graduate studies.

Boasting various degree program options including: on-campus study in Camden, off-campus study at locations throughout Southern New Jersey, and virtual study through degree programs offered online, Rutgers School of Business-Camden remains a distinguished and sought-after choice for higher education.
