The programs of the schools and colleges are organized to permit candidates for the bachelor's degree to engage in a general liberal arts education plus more concentrated study within the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences divisions, or in business and nursing. The faculties also have initiated a student-proposed major program which permits students who meet the necessary conditions to design their own interdepartmental major.
