Major Requirements
Every undergraduate computational and integrative biology (UCIB) student is required to complete the basic courses, which provide the academic foundation for the major. However, the electives differ among the tracks to allow in-depth examination of areas of particular individual interest. More advanced courses provide an opportunity for seniors to study their primary topic more critically and present results publicly in oral and written form.
Basic Courses
The following courses are required of all UCIB majors:

50:750:131,133 Elements of Physics I (3) and Laboratory (1)
50:750:132,134 Elements of Physics II (3) and Laboratory (1)
50:198:111, 112 Programming Fundamentals (3) and Software Lab (1)
50:198:113 Object-Oriented Programming (3)
Some graduate courses may be taken as electives by advanced undergraduate students provided they have a minimum grade-point average of 3.0, have completed the necessary prerequisites, have discussed the option with their adviser, and have the permission of the instructor.
All UCIB majors must complete the following courses before graduating:
