Students preparing to enter law school should obtain a strong education in liberal arts. No one major can be described as the best prelegal program. Courses in writing, political science, logic, economics, statistics, and computer science all can be helpful preparation for law school. Admission to law school is highly competitive, and law schools consider undergraduate cumulative grade-point average, strength of academic program, and results of the Law School Admission Test (LSAT).
