Students intending to major in computer science must satisfy the
following requirements to be formally admitted into the program:
1. Completion of or transfer credits for either 50:640:121
(Unified Calculus I) or 50:640:130 (Calculus for Business,
Economics, and Life Sciences).
2. A grade of C+ or better in both 50:198:111 (Programming
Fundamentals) and 50:198:113 (Object-Oriented Programming). For
transfer students, a grade of C+ or better in the first two
computer science courses (each at least 3 credits) taken at
Rutgers is required.
To continue in the program and graduate with a bachelor's degree
in computer science, a student must achieve a grade of C or better
in every computer science course required for the major.
