Before
being permitted to enroll in a practicum course, the student must have
been formally admitted to the Teacher Preparation Program, maintained
the required overall GPA of 2.8, and completed one of the following:
50:512:230 Education in America, 50:830:301 Educational Psychology, or
50:920:345 Sociology of Education; and given evidence of a negative
Mantoux (tuberculosis) test. All students who begin a field
experience (practicum or student teaching term) must have a valid
(negative) Mantoux test result ("read") that is dated less than one
year
from the beginning date of the field experience. Students who are in
doubt of the validity of their Mantoux tests should contact the Teacher
Preparation Program office.
