The interdisciplinary minor in film, which introduces students to both
the critical study of film as well as the study of filmmaking,
emphasizes major aspects of film studies including film history, film
genre, international film, and artistic issues; and offers practicums
in filmmaking, screenwriting, and film criticism.
Students
minoring in film are required to complete a minimum of 18 credits. No
more than 6 credits may be selected from any one of the following areas
of specialization.
