The programs of the colleges are organized to permit candidates for the bachelor's degree to engage in a general liberal education, as well as more concentrated departmental study within the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences divisions, or business. The faculties also have initiated a student-proposed major program which permits students who meet the necessary conditions to design their own interdepartmental major.
