Program Director: Dr. Carla Giaudrone, Foreign Languages and Literatures
The Latin American Studies program welcomes students and faculty with
interests in the fascinating and diverse region that stretches from the
Mexican border to the tip of Tierra del Fuego. The minor in Latin
American Studies complements major programs in Spanish language and
literature, history, business, economics, sociology, anthropology,
political science, art, or other disciplines. A minor in Latin
American Studies helps prepare students for the teaching profession,
whether in Spanish, history, or social studies. It is recommended
for students whose plans include travel, work, or study anywhere in the
region.
